Juba, South Sudan

Reached the hotel in Juba after a very long journey.
Happy to see that school nearby are allowed to use the pool to learn the children to swim. 
The hotel will be our base, and the program is hectic so there will be no time for relaxing beside the pool!

This is my first trip to the country. As a trade union we support Norwegian People's Aid projects to strengthen women and youth civil society local organisations.  Norway is one of the main countries that support the country and the lack of peace, democracy and respect for human right, the lack of health care, schools, clean water and food security are so immense that it's heartbreaking.  However the hope and the efforts for build up the country from scratch are still strong and resilient.
