Wound up in Wexford

Boxes

Two large piles of flattened boxes.  That's not all the ones we've emptied - a good number are already out in the garage.  W anticipates being able to use quite a lot of cardboard in the garden, on the compost heap, and as weed suppressor.

But I think we’ll be advertising some on freecycle (or equivalent).  And then there's the bubble wrap (fortunately it seems this can be recycled) and the wrapping paper.

First thing, we had a visit from a locksmith.  We've been unable to open the side door to the garage, despite our vendor leaving large numbers of keys, at least one of which was labelled "garage".  So he drilled out the old lock, and fitted a new one.

Since then, we've fitted some drawers in the utility room.  W suggested we use the fitted wardrobe in the downstairs bedroom as storage for items we can't put elsewhere at the moment.  This enabled me to empty quite a few boxes in the lounge.  The lounge would now be usable, but we're awaiting curtain rings from Amazon - due to arrive on Monday - so we can hang some curtains.  In any case, we're quite happy sitting in the garden room most of the time, as we can watch the birds on the feeders.

Tired this evening.
