Mostly Six Five Oh

A full day.  First stop was John Helmer, a men's haberdasher and outfitter that is happily still in robust business.  T always likes shopping here.  While he was trying on dress shirts to wear to the funeral, I checked out all the hats, the stretching machine and equipment caught my eye.

Brunch and then meanderings.  A pair of shoes for me.

Big changes downtown, some intersections, where the food cart pods used to be, are now unrecognizable, tall shiny glass buildings instead.  Other bits looking rough, poised for rejuvenation or rebuild? - remains to be seen.  Others are just the same.  The lifecycle of a city.  Like SF, like London...  It'll be interesting to see how Portland emerges from the post-pandemic changes and where its focus will be.  I obviously have opinions on that ;-)

Later we enjoyed a nice evening with ExtraDays and Mr ExtraDays at a restaurant in the Woodlawn neighborhood.
