Jardins Majorelle

Wanting a break from the madness of the Medina, we walked up to the Jardins Majorelle, only to find that we needed to book online (not easy as neither of our phones had working broadband connections - so we walked to a nearby cafe, ordered a couple of coffees, got the wifi password and purchased our tickets). Although small, the gardens were lovely - mainly devoted to palms and cacti, but with numerous water features and all set off by this fantastic blue colour - and there was also a small display of work by Yves Saint Laurent.

Later on, we found our way to Marrakech's photography museum (well worth visiting) and then went to the Secret Garden - another tranquil escape from noise, bustle and beeping mopeds of the medina. Had dinner in an Italian restaurant.
