Nesting Material

The Hummingbirds didn't take all the cotton I set out for the birds; now the Lesser Goldfinch is gathering nesting material. I saw the male and female together before this female started gathering stuff for her nest.
She gathered big clumps of cotton and easily flew away with it. I love watching the birds. The hummingbirds are now flying in for nectar constantly; I think their nest must be close by, but it is definitely high in a tree...somewhere, but I haven't pinpointed it yet.
