A morning walk in Greenham

I came back home for a few days to revise. One of the nicest aspects of coming home (aside from the free food) are the morning dog walks with my Dad.

Today we visited Bowdown woods, a very pleasant nature reserve near Greenham Common. The woods were awash with a sea of bluebells, forming rolling patchworks of blue flowers, mixed amongst the green of ferns and grass.

The walk always makes for nice photos; although this little eggshell caught my eye, it was in the middle of the footpath and could have easily been crushed underfoot. It makes me wonder what kind of tiny creature or bird could have hatched from such a tiny egg.
