Dahlonega

A wet start to the day, but once it stopped raining it’s been sunny and warm. Negative covid tests! Yay!
We went with our DIL to the SaeHan Korean Presbyterian church this morning to their English service. A great welcome and service followed by coffee and either doughnuts, bagels or Korean food (we went for the latter and it was very tasty).
This afternoon we headed to the pretty town of Dahlonega, in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The pic is the Gold Museum in the centre of town which was Old Lumpkin County courthouse in 1836. We also called in at the English shop! The lady, from Surrey originally, who runs it was great fun and when she heard us said “ you don’t want to buy anything in here then”.
Then we headed off to Montaluce vineyard to eat outside overlooking the hills and vines
Back home and the predicted storm arrived! We sat on the porch watching the lightning for a while. It’s still lightening and thundering now!
