Wound up in Wexford

Easter is approaching.  Weather is, at last, improving.

We've spent a good bit of today outside, sawing wood to make shelves for my sewing room.  Meanwhile, we’ve had "James (gates)" sorting out our remote electric gates.  Electric gates are pretty common here in Ireland, but ours lacked a working intercom, so anyone turning up outside had to hope we noticed them.  Also, James pointed out that we would be totally unable to open them in the event of a power cut.  So, at considerable expense, the set up has been updated.

The auctioneer (Estate Agent) who sold us the house turned up this afternoon with our "welcome pack" - a couple of bottles of wine and some chocolate.  She took away some crockery and other bits that our vendor had accidentally left behind.

I had a further fight with the printer, and finally managed to beat it into submission.  At present it is sitting in the middle of the lounge - but at least we were able to print up some vital documents so we can exchange our UK driver's licences for Irish ones.

W is currently cooking a lentil pie - smells goooood!
