7pm

The clock change means longer evenings at the allotment. I have to admit that it was getting a bit chilly by 7 o’clock though, maybe because I was finished with the digging and compost spreading and was just pottering about. However, the first lot of spuds are now planted (trying to get ‘early’ Fir Apples, might be a fool’s errand?), there’s a wee patch of spinach and coriander that have over-wintered, the sorry looking chard seedlings are under glass and will hopefully recover (a long shot) and all the beds are ready for hosting veggies. Hoping for a productive year!
