Spring in their step

Very early and wet start this morning as we had Green Thumb in to do some stuff to our Lawn. Started with Aeration which  is the most effective way of reducing sub-surface thatch and compaction in lawns, often the main causes of moss

Closely followed by Scarification which  is the mechanical removal of surface thatch from a lawn. Surface thatch naturally forms on a lawn. However, when it gets too thick it prevents important nutrients such as water, fertilisers and oxygen from getting to the grass roots. The result is a mossy and spongy lawn.
The lads got a cuppa and were done inside the hour. The Blackbirds and the Robin loved it! First big step towards spring on a rainy morning.
