Desperate house hunting

Today was my day to go down to Brisbane with Jon. I had every intention of being a desperate mum looking for a home for her son … and I think we might have actually got somewhere.

Not without lots of frustration and a very stressed out Jon. He’s been looking for over 6 weeks and it’s really crunch time now. There is a huge housing crisis in Brisbane and we seem to be in the middle of it again. Only this time, we had to a deadline to meet.

We viewed a few properties and also had a booking to see a place in the apartments that Jon would really like to stay at.

But before that we managed to fit in lunch at Chinatown, which was very very good. Really glad to have found a good Chinese place finally.

On to our booking, along with 5 other groups, felt quite despondent. But the kind agent asked us to hang back after everyone left to show us two more units, which were furnished and ready to go. Oh my goodness, I couldn’t believe it. We were very excited and one in particular seemed very suitable for Jon. So she suggested we get our application in asap. She also explained a lot of what is happening with housing at the moment, and how difficult it is to get something at the moment.

We left their feeling like God had really sent an angel to help us today.

One more viewing in another location before we headed back to the Sunny Coast. Feel like it was a very productive day. We’re all praying like mad!
