It's W-I-L-D Wednesday

This is sort of wild......strong Spring winds have broken up the ice cover on Lake Winnebago about 20 statute miles (32km) west of my abode.  It's the largest inland lake in Wisconsin being 60 miles (96+km) long and 20 miles (32km) wide in places.

I've seen ice piles 30 or more feet (9 meters) high and, depending upon wind strength and direction, the ice piles can push right up to and over lakeside homes.

It's a fun phenomenon to witness as long as it isn't your home that's being affected negatively.
