Middleton

We met our friends Liz and Genny at the Green Man in the village of Middleton where we had a nice lunch and a very good chat.

Although it had been raining all morning, making for a not very nice drive up the motorway, by the time we were ready to leave the rain had passed over. We decided on a short walk in the Middleton Lakes RSPB Reserve. The photo is the first lake approached, just one bird though shortly after we watched an owl fly from a tree and over to an old farm barn.
