Relocation

Moles on the coastal edge have been busy and their hills are dotted with bluebell bulbs thrown up by their tunnelling.. Some of these pale embryos already show blue tips. Usually I try to press them back into the soil but now I'm collecting those on the surface*  to replant around our tiny new trees [extra] in the hope that the future woodland will one day have a purple forest floor in late spring.

* Legislation under the Wildlife and Countryside Act makes it illegal “to uproot any wild plant without permission from the landowner or occupier."

With regard to my previous blip and the word 'chit' MsQuizzical has come up with the  derivation of its use as a noun meaning a note of permission. It's a far cry from potatoes.
