Khan By Name, Khan By Title

On This Day In History
1915: The Birth Of A Nation opens in New York

Quote Of The Day
"The white men were roused by a mere instinct of self-preservation ... until at last there had sprung into existence a great Klu Klux Klan, a veritable empire of the South, to protect the Southern country."
(Woodrow Wilson, quoted on a title card in The Birth Of A Nation )

I did consider giving today's Blipfoto the title, "KHAAAAAAN!! KHAAAAAAN!!"

Currently enjoying Wolf Of The Plains by the always reliable Conn Iggulden. This historical novel about Genghis and Kublai Khan is not quite as exciting - so far - as his epic Emperor series, about Julius Caesar, but it is an enjoyable read, nevertheless.
