The weather was wet and gloomy for much of today, but I did find a burst of colour.
In other exciting news, we paid off our mortgage today!
Technically, we paid it off years ago but our lender offered to store the deeds of our home free of charge for as long as we still owed them some money. We need to get a certified copy of the deeds made so we went into the building society to enquire about getting hold of the originals. We were told that to do so, we had to pay off the mortgage. I was shocked that they allowed us to pay the £1 balance in cash… I mean, aren't there money laundering regulations?
