Seedlings

Today's the day ........................ for the Great Sycamore Mystery

Has anyone else noticed this strange phenomenon that is everywhere dominant, certainly in this part of the country?

Sycamore seedings are on a mission to take over the world.  They are everywhere you look - and I mean EVERYWHERE.  They are growing in the cracks of paving stones, in lawns (see extra), in gravel paths, in borders - basically anywhere there is the minutest bit of soil in which they can establish themselves.  There must be millions - billions even of them - and that's just round here.

Presumably, conditions have been just right for them to grow through the winter - not too cold and enough rain to germinate.  Maybe it's always like this and I just haven't noticed before?!  But all I can say is that, if they all keep on growing, we are going to be submerged in a forest of sycamore trees.

Anyone out there, thinking the same ....................?
