First Step on the Property Ladder

Every year, a pair of lesser black-backed gulls nest half way up (down?) the roof of the house opposite me.  They have been back this week asserting their claim to the site again so I believe they will be nest building soon.

Most years, the young fall off the roof but are usually successfully fledged from the garden.
