Lithuanian Birch Ply

Not Russian birch plywood. For obvious reasons, we have been unable to order our regular supply of the Russian stuff the last year or so due to the on going war in Ukraine. Sounds crazy (why cant you buy it from B&Q), but Russian birch ply is probably the best money can buy. However this Lithuanian stuff is also good but has a slightly different finish and the edges seem to have a more retro touch, which we like, with what appears to be black adhesive between each ply layer. The Lithuanian stuff comes in metric thicknesses in whilst the Russian stuff  imperial (12mm verses 12.7mm). Seems minor to the every day guy/gal, but can cause problems when mixing sheets, a bit like "unbatching" wallpaper rolls if you get my drift. On top of this product availability generally has been rather short and poor while prices have gone up through the roof and we are still getting the same budget since "time began". Tough times ahead.....
