Long story - cut down to bullet points
BT box for streaming and recording off air TV failed
Old Humax PVR resurected - software woefully out of date and not up to running current iPlayer etc
Smart TV now looking not so smart - well it is 11 years old

New TV ordered - should have current smartness*
Will need wall mounting - hence the fixings which should be ok on our dot and dab thermalite block walls.

* it has some facility to upload comments to social media while watching a programme - rhetorical question - why?

We have concluded that we are not the target market for a modern TV!

At the other end of the technology scale - I watched one of my birthday present DVDs today - the original Thunderbirds - what imagination :-)
