Lochmaben

Down to Dumfries (via Lockerbie) for a meeting this afternoon - another beautiful day topped off with public transport all working together in perfect unison. Lockerbie had the sun & the bunting out - possibly for the Gala & Riding of the Marches in a few weeks.

Snapped this pic of one of the Lochmaben lochs (possibly Castle Loch) from the wee bus that forms part of my preferred Dumfries route these days - Edinburgh-Lockerbie train, Lockerbie-Dumfries bus. 1hr 40mins ish. No going to Carlisle & back or a 4hr round trip via Glasgow.

Lochmaben seems tranquil - maybe one of the reasons they built a TB sanitorium there >100 years ago...
