Non stop rain

I took this photo at 8.45am from my front veranda. The non stop rain made the atmosphere look clean. It was a month into autumn and despite the high temperatures for most of that time the small tree on the left knew it was autumn and had shed most of its leaves.

Daylight saving ended a few hours earlier but the village lights were still operating on the old time. I was pleased as they added to the lovely atmosphere.

My friend D planned to visit today but we agreed that driving in the heavy rain was not a good idea. It was a day to stay inside and stay safe and dry.

Another friend R phoned and we proceeded to have quite a long catch up as we only speak every few months.
