Animal day

We had a visit from a large stick insect that moved around the outside of our house. When last seen it was heading for the front door handle. I will not let it inside. 
A kereru, native wood pigeon,  was visiting plants near us. As well as sitting on the neighbour's aerial it also sat on our roof and left a large calling card on our deck. 
This afternoon we visited the puppies. They are now extremely active and will soon go to their new homes. Currently three will be left behind but the owners hope more will sell this week. We have been asked to be the puppy minders on Tuesday. A tough task but it will be fun.
