Wearmouth bridge

Having stayed overnight in our usual Travelodge, we had an early morning walk round Sunderland, before heading over to see Martin’s dad in Seaham.

Here’s the amazing Wearmouth Bridge, which was built in 1927 and which spans the River Wear.

What we noticed today was that Sunderland seems to having a lot of new buildings going up, and there seemed to be a bit of a buzz about the city, which was lovely to see.

I must admit, I have always liked the city in all my years if visiting it, and it’s good to see it on the up.

I hope you have had a good day.
