The End of Winter

It was quite cold, but very pleasant for my nest box check. It was easy to find the boxes because the trees were still bare of leaves. No Pied Flycatchers yet, but a few Chiffchaffs representing the Summer migrants, and plenty of natives - Great and Blue Tits, Treecreepers, Nuthatches, Robins, Song Thrushes Goldcrests and Blackbirds. Next time, there will be be a pale Green covering and, hopefully some Pied Flycatchers .
