‘Post Office Telegram’

This characteristically idiosyncratic telegram was sent to me on my birthday by my father, who was in Sudan at the time, over 55 years ago. I remember being thrilled to get it.

Telegrams were already getting pretty rare by then, but I was surprised to discover that you can still send them!
