Curlew

A beautiful day weather wise, sunny but fresh! Got my early morning swim and breakfast then we set off on a little road trip to the north Norfolk coast. We drove to holkham hall and decided not to stay there but went to Wells next the sea. The tide was at its lowest. We went to the deli intending to have a coffee and they had such delicious looking sandwiches that we shared a bacon and Brie panini suiting on stools at the front window and watching the world snd his dog walk past! It is an intriguing harbour as the sea is not to be seen and comes in via a channel between the marshes which are a sanctuary for wildlife!

We walked along through the village and past the fisherman’s factory and walked along the sea wall for a way watching the bird life. We saw oyster catchers and avocet and curlew! It was a real treat! I then drive around the coast road to Cromer and the satnav brought us back along thd cross country small roads.

A really lovely gentle day before the drive home tomorrow!
