Groovy

What a day!
Spanking sunshine all day. Cold wind but hot cheeks. Walked everywhere
Started with the Rijksmuseum, huge Easter crowds and no tix left for the Vermeer exhibition, been booked out for months, so decided to leave for next visit and ditto Van Gogh. Settled for a stroll and a Stroopwaffel through Albert Cuyp market.
On up to the magnolias at Rembrandtplaza, Golden Bend and then back to the Rokin to catch a canal tour. So cosy on the boat opposite a charming Greek couple and we enjoyed the beers and giving our feet a rest. Stumbled on the Beiginhof almost by accident, a small religious sanctuary for single woman…where do I sign?
Got shooed out by the priest and onward to the join the crowd outside the Athenaeum Bookstop. Why are we crowding? i asked someone… Quentin Tarantino was inside but was a bit shy so we left him to it ( we can at least say we were within ten feet of him)
Off through the Jordaan and found another Sla for vegan chilli. So good. Bellies full we headed back to the hotel by nine.
30,000 steps. We shall zzzzz
