For the record

A shot of the allotment in April at the start of the season. Most beds prepared, ready for spuds to go in next week and broad beans which gave grown well in the greenhouse. First rows of parsnip and beetroot to be sown too. New raspberry canes, Tayberry and gooseberry have gone in to the left of the shot.

Later than usual owning to the cold damp spring so far. Today’s sunshine brought plenty of people to the allotment. What a lovely change.

This morning I was at a Marmite Band rehearsal where we were joined by a drummer and Bob “the Spoons” who added a great dimension to our sound
