Coast Path to Woolacombe

Walked from Ilfracombe to Woolacombe today,  It is a glorious stretch of the path but very tiring and up and down. We stopped for a break at Lee, and negotiated a difficult bit over rocks, which is a short cut at low tide. I was helped and encouraged by the others over these slippy and dangerous natural steps in the rocks. At Woolacombe we waited to take the bus back. It was already packed but we all got on. The journey back was comical. We stopped several times at the holiday camps which line this route, and each time several of us had to get off and back on again to facilitate this. I counted five dogs alighting, including one wrapped around his owner’s neck. I was expecting a donkey or a goat to emerge  from the crush. Everyone was in a good natured mood and it reminded me of holidays in Greece.
