The patio

Part of our patio had to be dug up so that the existing extension could be underpinned.

No sunlight to bring out the textures so I've had a play in Elements - I've upped the contrast, added an 'Ink Outlines' filter, partially desatured the colour and darkened the highlights.

In other news, I've noticed that my main lens (an 18-135 zoom that came with the camera) has developed a worrying rattle - could this be why some of my photos have looked a bit soft lately?
Update: I have a 5-year warranty and it's the kit lens, so I should be covered - phew! I'll ring them in the morning.
