What a miserable day it has been, raining on and off at different intensities!
I was certainly pleased that I had done the gardening yesterday. No live fitness class, although Wendy had prepared a U-tube video for us to follow. But I skived off it ;-))

So this afternoon while the rain had eased off I decided to pop over to the Skern to see if there was anything exciting happening in the way of birds. It was low tide, and the only activity I saw was this male Shelduck, slowly working his way across the mud flat. He was moving his head from side to side sweeping the ground, reminded me of someone using a metal detector.
