A splash of colour

This tree has been providing a beautiful splash of colour when everything else is green or brown on the allotment site. 
The extra is for my records. I'm not putting cardboard down on this bit, but have removed the weeds and levelled it. Unfortunately we appear to have almost run out of wood chip and the rain started before I could take the rake down to the remains of the heap. So that will be tomorrow's job.
