Mae ymarfer yn bwysicach na pherffeithrwydd

Mae ymarfer yn bwysicach na pherffeithrwydd ~ Practice is more important than perfection.

“Practice any art, music, singing, dancing, acting, drawing, painting, sculpting, poetry, fiction, essays, reportage, no matter how well or badly, not to get money and fame, but to experience becoming, to find out what’s inside you, to make your soul grow.”
― Kurt Vonnegut

Rydw i'n ceisio ymarfer yr Psaltery y rhan fwyaf o ddyddiau am tua chwarter awr, neu hanner awr ar y mwyaf. Rydw i'n ceisio bod yn fwy rhugl. Ar hyn o bryd mae'n ddigon anodd i mi ffeindio'r nodau cywir - er eu bod yn ysgrifenedig ar yr offeryn! Mae Nor'dzin yn helpu fi - mae hi'n addysgu i mi sut i ddarllen cerddoriaeth a sut i ddeall tonau a hyd nodau. Mae ffordd hir gyda fi i fynd, ond rydw i'n gobeithio gydag ymarfer rheolaidd bydda i'n gwella.

I try to practice the Psaltery most days for about a quarter of an hour, or half an hour at the most. I'm trying to be more fluent. At the moment it is quite difficult for me to find the correct notes - even though they are written on the instrument! Nor'dzin is helping me - she is teaching me how to read music and how to understand tones and note lengths. I have a long way to go, but I hope with regular practice I will improve.
