Souter Lighthouse on the steam bikes...

...via the South Shields ferry...

Lots of people about as it's a holiday weekend, but we managed to avoid a lot of them on our ride ;)

Had a coffee at the Custom's House after the ferry, surrounded by lots of little girls with wands, dressed as fairies... Not sure what was on in the little theatre, but it was a surreal experience ;)

Enjoyed our picnic at the lighthouse, but it was hard work on the return leg, into a stiff northerly breeze... But we beat the rain home...
