York

A trip to York Hospital for a round of blood tests turned into an epic seven and a half hour stay. At least Richard was fed. Finally after intravenous fluids he was given the go ahead to come home and to enjoy a stay in the Lakes over the bank holiday.

So hopefully all being well tomorrow we can have a relaxed drive across the Pennines. If necessary we can be home in about two and a half hours. After being cooped up in the hospital when it was a beautiful day outside was no fun.

The only highlight being our eldest son Stephen popping on the train on the spur of the moment to see us both and offer moral support.
