Mr Ruby Throated Hummingbird

Had lunch with Birgit today but didn’t linger as she had a couple of crises she was dealing with.

I finished the Xara bracelet as per the pattern but it is far too long. Unfortunately this is a pattern where you do the center and then build upon that and so there is no simple way to shorten the bracelet once it is finished.

This meant I spent time cutting up the bracelet, sorting the beads and starting over. Glad I’m not in a rush to get it done! ;-)

We have seen “flashes” of a hummingbird from time to time over the past month as one would swoop by but we had yet to really see one.

Yesterday we got a couple of good looks a one but alas no camera at hand.

Today, this guy came and sat on the fence near one of the feeders several times and he would be in no hurry to fly off. So glad to see my friends have returned.
