(kept me company - got an infection of some kind so the artichokes will be mine - and on that note - not hard to prep my way - slice off off bottom just to flatten, and the tip maybe an inch down, trim ends of leaves, have water with a steamer going, put them in top down, steam maybe 30 minutes, turn over steam again maybe 20 minutes, test to see of lower leaves remove, and drag over bottom teeth to see how much of the "meat" comes off - easy)
