And they’re off!!

This is the start of the annual family Easter egg hunt held in the front yard of the farm. This year there were 10 participants (7 grandchildren and the 3 girls in the middle are friends).
There are 3 great vineyards in the valley and all of them have generously donated some bottles of wine to the auction held in conjunction with our Rotary ANZAC golf day in a couple of weeks. This afternoon I rode my bike over to collect a couple of Cab Savs from Darragh Wines, the smallest of the 3 where all the winemaking is done on site. Here’s Jon doing the plunging (I embarrassed myself by calling it stirring), a process that needs to be carried out every 6 hours for this three week period of fermentation while constantly checking pH and sugar levels. It’s still 3 years off the finished product!!
