On the way up Sale Fell

Good Friday is always chaos in the Lakes - so I parked along the A66 near Bass Lake and walked up Sale Fell & Ling Fell. They are often very quiet, but today were pretty busy - though doubtless on a different scale to the popular fells.

This little pond / tarn by a farm building on the way up looked pretty idyllic on such a great day.

Took my total up to 12 Wainwrights in the first week of my charity walk, given that my target is 3.5 per week, I'm well ahead of schedule, so can avoid the really rainy days of next week!
