Soon after this picture the great spotted woodpecker arrived, but unfortunately I was not able to get to the camera as I was forced to watch Cinderella for the umpteenth time with my poorly littlest. By the way shot was taken through a rather dirty window! After much debate I have decided that this is a Goldfinch.... am I right? Have to admit that there is nothing quite as satisfying as taking a picture of a bird! There might be many more to follow. My challenge... snap the great spotted woodpecker!
