Now, as I see it......

Along the lines

A good walk this afternoon from the Holgate Hill car park along the railway past Weybourne station and up past where the woods have recently been cut down.  It's a bit of a shock to see the bare hill but the trees were grown as a timber crop after all, albeit they were planted back in the 60's.  One advantage is that it has opened up some good views over the station yard for photography; I've added one as an extra but I didn't go right to the top as the debris from the tree cropping is a bit difficult to climb over at the moment.  Another day, perhaps.

Anyway, the picture.  It's one of the trains running from Sheringham to Holt, approaching Weybourne.  The shot would have been difficult until recently as there was too much vegetation in the way but a lot has now been cleared. And a couple more extras; I said I would try to get a better shot than yesterday of the guest engine so here it is, and finally some detail of the wheels.  For those who know about these things, they are an unmistakably 'Bulleid' design.
