Time to go home after a lovely week.
However, one advantage of not being too far from home was we didn't have to head back immediately so took advantage of a glorious day to do a circular walk from Gullane. I hadn't realised how many good beaches there are, some just sand, some pebbly and some with rocky areas, and we traversed several to some caves and then returned by an inland route. It got rather warm so we were glad for a tea stop in Gullane before heading home.
The journey home was slow, accidents and breakdowns causing queues and the Satnav suggested diversion being no better (or even worse!), but we did get a good view of the Forth bridges (see extra) from a different angle while waiting.
Daughter seemed to get through a bit quicker though it must have wished they had a boat as their home village was visible across the Forth!
