The Yearling

In the book "The Yearling" by Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings a young boy raises a deer until it starts getting into the family garden. Another book by this author is "Cross Creek" which tells more about her life in Cross Creek, Florida. Both of these books were made into movies as well.

This was taken in Newberry, Florida where friends of mine live. They raised this deer from a fawn but now that it's grown up, it wonders the woods around their house and occasionally gets into the garden.
