Easter...

……………………..…....….Sunday

I wish you all a very Happy Easter - from a rather wet and cool autumn day as we celebrate Easter Day in New Zealand.

Today, Easter, is the celebration of Christ's resurrection from the dead. It is celebrated on the Sunday, and marks the end of Holy Week, the end of Lent, the last day of the Easter Triduum (Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Sunday), and is the beginning of the Easter season of the liturgical year.

Between a shower of rain I dashed out to the garden and photographed this Japanese Anemone - the quirky petals add a touch of character and the water drops confirm the presence of rain!

Thank you for the comments, stars and hearts for yesterday’s cheeky wee fantail. The tail feathers often form a perfect fan. They are extremely quick moving birds and not always the easiest to get in focus.
