Pueblo Blanco - Casares

To avoid the get of the day - at last! - we left our touring until late afternoon. Our first stop was here at Casares, one of the pueblos blancos in the region. Caesar cured his herpes nearby in some Roman baths. But the site is better known for the dramatic hill top fort and church, the circling birds of prey, and the whitewashed town built on the hillside.

As we left to tour round other places such as Gaucin the evening light caught the buildings beautifully.
