Kerry on the Tweed

Kerry’s car is still parked at St Boswells because of last night’s bus fiasco. So, I make a packed lunch and we head off on foot.

First leg is down the Leader to Leaderfoot, from where we cut around the A68 on week marked paths. Then, the path heads down to the Tweed. There’s a muddy bit, and then it’s time for lunch. No benches in sight, so we perch on a fallen tree.

And then we’re at St Boswells. We drive back to Earlston where we get overpriced and poor quality crepes, before heading back to the house.

I’m home in time to put the chooks to bed - and watch the Beiderbecke Tapes.
