Easter Monday

An early 40 minute jog across the commons listening to the constant stream of birdsong along the way.
After a quick breakfast, preparing a picnic for the days adventure and lunch for auntie I accompanied J to Holsworthy where she had a pre wedding photo shoot meeting.
A short drive to Whalesborough near Bude and after a pot of tea and accompanying Pasteis de nata, we set off on a 3 hour coastal walk. Rather blowy to say the least, some stunning views from the cliff tops.
Skylarks, Rock pipits, a dashing Sparrow hawk and several Kestrels were the highlights of bird life spotted.
We were grateful for the bird hide located alongside the canal on our return journey, it presented us with the opportunity to enjoy our picnic without it being blown across the surrounding countryside.
An ice cream in Bude was imperative as the cafe where we had parked had closed just minutes before our arrival.
All in all a most enjoyable Easter bank holiday Monday.
