Marjorie's Kitchen

After a 10am bone density test, I went over to Marjorie's and spent a few hours with her. In a month, she will be living in a progressive care places in Seattle. She'll have an apartment, she'll be near her son, but she'll no longer be in her house, her home; she doesn't want to move away, inevitable as it is. I helped her get ready for the dinner she's making for her poetry reading group. It'll be the last time they meet. Soup and muffins. See the Extra for the Katha Pollitt poem she will read.
Years ago, Marjorie and her ex had goats and chickens; she'd been mentioning the goats, so I painted her a picture of one hoping she might like looking at it in her new place; also an extra.
