Just for the record.....

The paving slabs used by the builders around our house were pretty naff, factory made, sandstone.  When we had the back garden done at the beginning of last year we used some natural stone slabs edged with granite cobbles that looked considerably better.  We had quite a few left over so managed to sell some, but decided to ask the garden man to replace the builder's slabs at the front door.  It's taken a year due to him being fully booked up with other jobs and the weather being against him, but this morning he arrived and installed the new slabs and edging.

It's only a small area but it makes all the difference and looks considerably better than ours used to look, and all our neighbours' still look!
